Recognizing Harms Associated with Gambling

Self-Assessment
To evaluate your own gambling behavior, you may complete the OASAS Gambling Behaviors Survey available on the OASAS website. This tool is designed to help individuals reflect on their gambling habits and identify whether they may be at risk for gambling-related harms.
Voluntary Self-Exclusion
The Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program allows individuals to exclude themselves from gaming activities at Jake’s 58 Casino Hotel and all other entities licensed, permitted, or registered by the New York State Gaming Commission.
Individuals may choose exclusion periods of one year, three years, five years, or lifetime. Enrollment in this program is entirely voluntary and must be initiated by the individual seeking exclusion.

Self-excluded individuals are removed from all marketing and mailing lists, cannot receive complimentary goods or participate in promotions, and may be subject to arrest for trespass if found on the gaming floor during an active exclusion period. Any winnings obtained while self-excluded are subject to forfeiture.
Employee Training
All Jake’s 58 Casino Hotel employees receive annual problem gaming awareness training.
This training ensures that staff can identify signs of potential gambling-related harms and respond appropriately when approached by guests seeking assistance or displaying concerning behaviors.
