THE WALL THAT HEALS
Today, Phil Boyle, Suffolk OTB President and CEO, along Jim LaCarrubba, VP and COO, joined staff from Suffolk OTB & Jake’s 58 Casino Hotel to help construct the “Wall That Heals” in Copiague’s Tanner Park for the first time in 29 years. We were truly honored to volunteer in building a temporary 375-foot replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
The installation is being organized by the Town of Babylon – Government and VVA-Suffolk County, Chapter 11. The “Wall That Heals” is a traveling exhibit that spreads the healing legacy of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial located in Washington D.C. to communities across America and pays tribute to those who served, and died, in Vietnam. We were grateful for the opportunity to assist in the building of The Memorial Wall.
The “Wall That Heals” will be on display from October 5-8, providing Long Islanders with an opportunity to visit.
